New Tangle

Hi.  I know that is has been a very long time since I updated my blog.  I guess that it was the Pandemic that got me focused on other things.  However, I am back for now.

I was watching TV one day and I saw this pattern and decided to deconstruct it in my head.  It is called Manscape.  I submitted it to Tangle Patterns.  Hope she uses it.  It is easy to draw and there are many ways in which you can embellish it.  Try it...

I have a few more Zengems to show here.  Some have been added to cards that I made and some are fairly new ones.  Enjoy...

Monday, February 11, 2019

Hi all.  Today, I want to let you know that my advanced stamping club will be having our annual showcase and sale.  This is a great opportunity to purchase cards, jewelry, stamps and supplies (new and used).  I will be there selling my cards, lots of stamps and of course my pendant jewelry and earrings!  This is the second year that I will be selling my my handmade jewelry and of course there will be a lot of tangled pieces.  It was a big hit last year so I decided to include that again.  The showcase and sale will be held at Laurel Manor on Saturday, February 16th this year. We have gotten bigger and better!  Laurel Manor is located at Buena Vista and 466.  It starts at 12:30 and ends @ 2:45.  There will be demonstrations during the showcase and I will be doing a demo @ 2:30.  Can't tell you what it is (it's a secret) but it will be fun!  It is a good time to get some great deals on so many things.  There is bound to be something for you.  I have 2 tables and I have a lot of things that I will be selling.  I am adding some pics of my jewelry and 1 pic of my latest works.  Hope to see you there

More Pics of My Jewelry, etc.

Hi All.  I know it has been an incredibly long time since my last post.  I just stopped posting because it seemed that no one was looking at it.  I just found out from information that is available to me (that I didn't know about) that there have been a lot of lookers and some comments that I never saw!  I actually had over 12,000 views!  So, I am back.  I probably won't post all that often but I am still here and will try to stay in touch!  About 2 years ago, I started to make jewelry.  Mostly pendants and earrings.  I decided to make some Zentangle art to put into some of my jewelry and they have been a big hit!  I am adding them to this post so that anyone who follows me will be able to see them.  I have been working on more tiles and even some larger tiles that are now part of the Zentangle offerings.  They are 10 1/2" by 10 1/2" and are great fun to tangle on!  They are called OPUS tiles and are made from the same Fabriano paper as the original white tiles.

These are some of the Zentangle inspired pendants that I have made.  There were many more but they were sold before Christmas and I don't have a show again for a month or so.  I have been working on the drawings but haven't set them yet.  More to come...

I have been doing classes...some for individuals and some for groups and demos.  I just love the teaching part.  I really like to get everyone excited!
A couple of CZT friends and I are starting a new club called Stamping in the Zen.  The first meeting is in February and I am looking forward to that.

Happy New Year

Hi all.  It has been quite a while since I last posted.  I have been very busy working on my Christmas cards, my Zentangle projects, singing concerts and lots of parties!  I am posting some of the work that I have done in the past few months...

I have started pressing leaves and flowers to see what kind of impression I can get.
I then tangle the leaf.  The color is natural from the leaf.  I have made some into cards.

This is jus a random Zentangle that I colored and made into a card.

These Zen Gems were from a class that I did.  It is hard to figure out which is the
teacher and which is the student.  I'm not even sure if I remember, LOL!

This is another pressed leaf.  I love how the natural color turned out!

I was feeling like I was running around in circles and this just came out...

Just playing around with a purple ZenGem and some different tangling.

I did this horse from a template by Ben Kwok for a friend that loves horses.

This is another template from Ben Kwok that was a Mandala.  I turned it into a
Zendala with different colored gems.  It is really beautiful in person!

I purchased some open stamps that I could tangle.  I did this one with
black and brown Microns and a white gel pen.

Another Ben Kwok template of an antique shoe.  I decided to do the
buttons in green gems to give it character.

This is just a tile that I did to play around with some patterns.
I did this as an Swap Bot exchange.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my latest work.  As I mentioned, I have been very busy.
Hopefully, I will not wait this long to post again!

Till next time...

September 26, 2016

Hi all.  I have been very busy these last 2 months.  Last month, I went to Cozumel, Mexico in order for him to have some dental work.  We were there for 9 days and aside from the dental work (which was wonderful not to mention EXTREMELY inexpensive) we had a wonderful vacation.  We stayed on the waterfront in a wonderful hotel with a great water view!  It was right downtown and near everything.  If you need a great dentist and hotel, ask me for details.

Meanwhile, Since we came back, I have been working on my artwork, getting ready for my very first art show which is on October 1.  It is called Butterflyfest and is in Gainsville, FL at the Natural History Museum and butterfly habitat.  I have about 22 framed (thanks to my wonderful husband) pieces.  I also will be selling my greeting cards, many of which are butterfly themed and some other items such as bookmarks and magnets.

Below, are some of the pieces that I am selling at the show...

Here are just some of the Zentangle cards that I will be selling...

Here is a copy of the flyer for the show...

Wish me luck!

Hi all.  It has been a while since I have posted so I thought I would show some of my latest work...

This is my latest Zen Gem.

I am doing a butterfly festival in October so I have been
making a lot of butterfly cards and Zentangles.  I have added
some gems in the circles.

This is a fancy cross that I did, also with gems.

This gem is a brown turquoise pin that my
grandmother left for me many years ago.
I used Prisma color pencils to make it look
so realistic.

This is a tile that I made for our monthly Zentangle
club.  We were to use certain tangles.

That's all I have to show right now.  Please be sure to leave a message so
that I will know that you were here!  Thanks.

Till next time...

I've Been Published!

I am very excited to tell you that one of my very own patterns has been published in tanglepatterns.com.  I submitted it and it was published within a few days.  I am posting it below...

Check out the Tangle Patterns website above to see how it came about.

Below are some of the things that I have been working on...
Beta Fish ( Template by Ornation Creation)

 Some Zem Gems

A new butterfly template by Ornation creation

This is a Zen Gem bracelet that I made in to a birthday card.

This was a project that we did in our Zentangle club.  We laid down Washi tape and used it as our string and tangled in it.

I am working on a lot of things at the moment but I have been very busy with Dr. appointments and other stuff.

Stay tuned because I will have more projects and possibly another pattern.

Till next time...

Diva Challenge, More ZenGems

Hi all.  Today, I decided to enter the Diva's Challenge #252.  It has been quite a while since I entered one of her challenges, but I like this one a lot so I decided to enter.  The challenge was to draw an oversized tangle to use as the string and then tangle in the tangle.  I chose to do Hollibaugh as my string/tangle and used several different tangles within.  I don't actually remember the names of all of the tangles that I used but I don't think that is really an issue.  If it is, I am sorry.  I just used what I felt would fit the string.

Here are some more things that I have been working on...

Some Zen Gems...

The tangles used for the tile below are Arukas on the top, Jetties
on the left, Rick's Paradox on the right and Beadline on the bottom.

Thanks for looking.  Please leave a comment so I know that you were here.  I would
love to hear from you!  :-)
